Why I won't just sell the Hoda Computer as software

"Why don't you just sell your Hoda Computer as software?"

Ever since I started sharing the Hoda Computer I've gotten this question from several people.

"Just sell the software, much easier to grow."

And it's true. Software scales. Hardware doesn't.

But see, I think this is the exact mentality that got us into this tech dystopia.

Companies creating things that are meant to grow as fast as possible. Investors looking for that hockey stick growth.

That's the machine that created Mark Zuckerberg.

And I think that's bad for the world.

I'd much rather have 200 customers paying $1000 with their kids getting the Hoda Computer hand delivered by me.

Rather than 20,000 customers paying $19 for software they download and forget about after a month.

This way, the families truly get to be a part of building something together.

If we're building a lasting company in the age of AI, it needs to be grounded in more than just software.

Anyone can create software today at almost no cost.

But I want to offer parents something more:

"We'll help you build a safe environment for your kids to thrive in 2026."

And that can never be done with just software.
